Instructions:

• Only pay for one activity at a time.  If you plan to participate in Flag and Tackle, create one payment for Flag and one for Tackle.
• Select the button for the activity and / or type of players you want to include in the payment.  A separate screen will open up with that type of player.  If you need multiple types of players (i.e. you are paying for a 5/6 player and a 9/10 player), click on the both “Add to Cart” buttons for the types and two line items will appear in your cart.
• Adjust the quanties for types of players.
• To apply to the multi-player discounts offered by TCYFA, enter one of the following codes: 
  • Flag - $5 per sibling for each subsequent sibling 
    • 2F for two flag players
    • 3F for three flag players
    • 4F for four flag players
    • 5F for five flag players
  • Tackle - $20 for the first sibling, $40 for each subsequent sibling
    • 2T for two tackle players
    • 3T for three tackle players
    • 4T for four tackle players
    • 5T for five tackle players
• There will be 5% processing fee for the transaction.  This is displayed in the shipping area.  This fee will cover the TCYFA expenses associated with credit card / PayPal processing.
• After the transaction is completed, you will receive an e-mail detailing the payment.  You must bring a printed copy of this receipt to the actual registration in order to receive credit for the payment.  Note that this transaction does NOT register your player; it only pays the fee for the registration.
• It is YOUR responsibility to ensure that the correct number of players and player types and the correct discounts are entered.  Amounts will be validated during player registration and underpayments will be due before the registration can be complete.  Overpayments will be require coordination among the board to create a refund check.  This may take up to two weeks.

Flag is played at the Crystal City field (with a JMH backup) on seven Saturdays starting April 10^th and ending May 22^nd.  The first Saturday is a practice – we’ll introduce the boys and girls to the game and identify the divisions.    

The divisions will be based on the ages of the players that register.  Players can range in age from 5 to 15.  Each division will have its own assigned playing time and the actual teams will be decided  based on who is available that day.  This insures we have good competitive games!   

Rodney Polston is our flag coordinator and his love for the game really encourages the players to learn while having fun. We’ll be asking for parent volunteers to assist in the coaching of the teams. 

The cost for the season is $50 with a $5 discount for each sibling that will play (first sibling is $50 and each additional sibling is $45).  Each player will receive a Cougar T-shirt to be used as the flag uniform and a medal at the end of the season. 

Registrations will take place on Saturday, March 27^th and Saturday, April 3^rd.  They will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the JMH conference room B.

Flag Football Flyer

Please welcome Tim Davis and Pete Mock to the board.  Tim is the new Equipment Director and Pete will assist Terry Graves in the coaching director duties.  We continue to hold the board meetings on the first Wednesday of every month at the Festus Library (400 West Main).  The meetings begin at 7:00 p.m and generally last 2 hours.  Everyone is invited to attend and learn more about the activities for the league.

The following are the dates for the season.  Please note that some tackle dates are not confirmed; they are subject to conference decisions.

We will be clearing out the 2009 team information within the next couple of weeks.  If you are interested in any information posted on the Web for 2009, please save or print the information by the end of January.

Not everyone had the opportunity to return their equipment at the banquet.  We’ll be accepting equipment returns on Thursday, November 12th, from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Sunset Park band stand.  This is where you originally picked up the equipment.

If you have not returned your equipment, please make sure you can be there.  We’ll be cashing the remaining deposit checks after that time.

We’ll have hotdogs, hamburgers, chili, etc. for the players and families.  Although we should have enough sandwiches for all, it will be first come, first serve for the other food items.  Why let the concession stand items go to waste when we can have a mini-celebration with our teams?  Any parents interested in helping out, please feel free to stop by.
