It’s hard to believe but Spring is almost here! If you’re looking for a lot of spring fun and some good exercise while learning some football basics, please join us for our Flag Football season!
Flag is played at the Crystal City field (with a JMH backup) on seven Saturdays starting April 10th and ending May 22nd. The first Saturday is a practice – we’ll introduce the boys and girls to the game and identify the divisions.
The divisions will be based on the ages of the players that register. Players can range in age from 5 to 15. Each division will have its own assigned playing time and the actual teams will be decided based on who is available that day. This insures we have good competitive games!
Rodney Polston is our flag coordinator and his love for the game really encourages the players to learn while having fun. We’ll be asking for parent volunteers to assist in the coaching of the teams.
The cost for the season is $50 with a $5 discount for each sibling that will play (first sibling is $50 and each additional sibling is $45). Each player will receive a Cougar T-shirt to be used as the flag uniform and a medal at the end of the season.
Registrations will take place on Saturday, March 27th and Saturday, April 3rd. They will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the JMH conference room B.
