Jamboree
We hope everyone had a great time at the Jamboree. The Crystal City field was beautiful, the kids played hard, and we had the best weather possible. Can you believe the temperatures for Missouri’s August? Thanks to the parents for all of their support and a special thanks to the following volunteers.

CiCi’s Pizza Fundraiser
CiCi’s Pizza in Festus has graciously donated 3 days of fundraising for our Cougars. When you eat at CiCi’s Pizza on one of the following days, please write TCYFA on your receipt and give it to the back to the cashier. CiCi’s will donate 10% of all of the TCYFA total receipts to the league. The pizza, salad and pasta are great, it’s a buffet so the kids can eat right away and eat as much as they want, the prices are very reasonable, and you’ll be helping to offset the costs of the league. Please mark it on your calendar and try to make it to one, if not all, of the days. The days are listed below.

Game Schedules
The game schedules are due to be completed mid to late this week. We realize that it’s not ideal that we don’t know the schedule until right before the first game but there are coordination issues with some of the other leagues (they have to share the fields with other events). The entire league (Arnold, Ste. Gen, Hillsboro, South County, DeSoto, and us) cannot complete the schedule until those events are finalized.
As soon as we have the finalized schedule, we’ll create the individual team schedules. We’ll send parent e-mails as well as post the schedules on the Web.
TCYFA Board Meetings
We hold the monthly board meetings on the first Wednesday of every month. They are held at the Festus Library (400 W. Main Street) beginning at 7:00 p.m. Anyone interested in volunteering or learning more about the activities needed to run the league is welcome to attend. We hold the annual elections to the board in December and to participate in the voting, you’ll need to have attended four board meetings. If you plan to vote or plan to run for a position on the board, you’ll need to start attending in September.
